PT Vivo Energy Indonesia, operating under the Vivo fuel station network, has raised the price of its Diesel Primus product to Rp 30,890 per liter. This represents a substantial leap from its previous price of Rp 14,610 per liter. In contrast, the price of its Revvo 92 gasoline (RON 92) remains unchanged at Rp 12,390 per liter.

A similar price hike was implemented by PT Aneka Petroindo Raya, which manages BP-AKR fuel stations. Their BP Ultimate Diesel has seen its price surge to Rp 30,890 per liter, up from Rp 25,560 per liter, marking an increase of Rp 5,330 per liter. Meanwhile, the price for BP 92 gasoline holds steady at Rp 12,390 per liter.

In stark contrast to the private sector’s actions, PT Pertamina (Persero) has opted to maintain its current fuel prices, for both subsidized and non-subsidized variants, as of May 1, 2026. Pertamax (RON 92) remains at Rp 12,300 per liter, Pertamax Green at Rp 12,900 per liter, and the premium Pertamax Turbo at Rp 19,400 per liter.

Summary

As of May 2, 2026, private fuel retailers in Indonesia, including Vivo and BP-AKR, have significantly increased the price of their diesel products to over IDR 30,000 per liter. Vivo’s Diesel Primus and BP-AKR’s BP Ultimate Diesel are both now priced at IDR 30,890 per liter, marking a sharp rise compared to previous rates. While diesel costs have surged at these private stations, their gasoline prices remain unchanged.

Conversely, state-owned company PT Pertamina has maintained its fuel prices across all categories, including both subsidized and non-subsidized options. Prices for Pertalite, Pertamax, and various diesel variants like Dexlite and Pertamina Dex remain at their previous levels. This divergence in pricing strategy highlights a notable difference between private sector adjustments and the state-controlled fuel pricing policy.
