PT PAM Mineral Tbk (NICL) is setting an ambitious target for its nickel production and sales volume, aiming to reach 2.6 million tons by the end of 2026. This significant goal is expected to be achieved through a strategic focus on continuous exploration and enhanced operational efficiency.
Ruddy Tjanaka, President Director of PAM Mineral, elaborated that NICL will intensify its exploration activities, including extensive drilling, to expand its resource base and bolster its nickel reserves. “This endeavor is a strategic step to ensure the continuity of our operations and to enhance the economic value of our existing resources,” he stated during a virtual public expose on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Currently, NICL operates two primary mining sites. The first is located within PAM Mineral’s concession area, boasting reserves of approximately 8.25 million tons. The second is held by its subsidiary, PT Indrabakti Mustika (IBM), which possesses substantial reserves of up to 91.82 million tons. The Mining Business Permit (IUP) for PAM Mineral’s site is situated in Buleleng Village, Bungku Pesisir District, Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, while IBM’s mine is located in Langgikima District, North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.
Building on a strong foundation, NICL recorded a production and sales volume of 2.56 million wet metric tons (WMT) in 2025. This performance translated into a revenue of Rp 1.47 trillion, marking a healthy 2.12% increase year-on-year. Furthermore, NICL’s net profit surged by 8.27% annually, reaching Rp 345.14 billion in 2025. Ruddy emphasized that the 2025 results underscore the company’s improved operational efficiency and strengthened governance.
“For 2026, we are targeting a production and sales level of 2.60 million WMT, with the nickel ore grade expected to range between 1.3% and 1.65% Ni,” Ruddy affirmed, outlining the specific quality parameters for the upcoming year.
Looking ahead, Ruddy also detailed NICL’s long-term vision, which includes sustained exploration efforts until 2035. Concurrently, the company plans to develop an integrated, data-driven digital system designed to further enhance efficiency across all business lines, ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence.
