The Ministry of Finance has temporarily withdrawn the publication of the March 2026 State Budget Performance and Facts (APBN KiTa) report. The press release, which had been uploaded on Thursday, April 30, 2026, was pulled shortly after its initial release.
Initially, the ministry had released the report’s materials online following the cancellation of the APBN KiTa press conference originally scheduled for April 29. However, the publication was retracted after officials decided to reschedule the press conference to a later date.
The Bureau of Communication and Information Services of the Ministry of Finance issued an apology on Thursday evening, stating, “We apologize for temporarily taking down the press release and the APBN KiTa slide presentation for the March 2026 period, as the official APBN KiTa press conference will now be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.”
The APBN KiTa serves as the Ministry of Finance’s monthly publication designed to provide the public with transparent insights into the government’s fiscal performance. It acts as a primary tool for fiscal accountability, detailing the current state of the economy and providing comprehensive data on state revenues, expenditures, and financing, including national debt figures.
Furthermore, the report breaks down key revenue streams—such as taxes, customs, excise, and Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP)—as well as routine government spending and disbursements for priority programs, including the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative.
This delay follows a similar announcement regarding the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) press conference, which was originally planned for April 30, 2026. The Ministry of Finance offered an apology for the postponement of the KSSK briefing but did not provide specific reasons for the delay or confirm a new date for the event.
While the performance data for the state budget as of March 31, 2026, was briefly available on the Ministry of Finance’s official website in the form of a press release and slide deck, it was swiftly removed. Tempo attempted to reach the Head of the Bureau of Communication and Information Services, Deni Surjantoro, for clarification regarding these sudden scheduling changes, but no response was provided at the time of writing.
