The first and second batches of the National Internship Program have successfully concluded, engaging a substantial number of participants. The first batch involved around 14,000 individuals, while the second batch saw an impressive 62,000 participants, bringing the total to 78,000 participants across both cohorts.

Consequently, approximately 4,900 participants from the first batch secured immediate employment through this valuable initiative. “We received evaluation results from batch one indicating that about 35 percent of our young interns were offered positions at their internship locations,” Yassierli stated during a press conference at the Ministry of Manpower office in Jakarta on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Beyond direct recruitment, the program also garnered high levels of satisfaction. A preliminary evaluation of the first batch revealed that 85 percent of participants expressed feeling satisfied or highly satisfied with their experience. Another 14 percent reported being quite satisfied, while a minimal 0.7 percent indicated less satisfaction or dissatisfaction, underscoring the program’s overall positive impact on interns.

The Ministry of Manpower also conducted an evaluation among the participating companies. Out of approximately 4,000 companies, a resounding 81 percent reported being satisfied or highly satisfied with the interns and the program. Furthermore, 19 percent expressed moderate satisfaction, with only 0.4 percent indicating lower levels of satisfaction, demonstrating the program’s mutual benefits for both interns and employers.

To further enhance career prospects, the Ministry offers an optional competency certification program for all participants who successfully complete their internships. Participants are encouraged to visit designated competency centers, as these crucial certifications are conducted offline to ensure thorough evaluation and quality assurance.

According to its official website, the Ministry of Manpower is proactively working to facilitate the integration of National Internship Program alumni (MagangHub) into the broader job market, encompassing both domestic and international opportunities. This strategic objective is being realized through a seamless digital transition from MagangHub to KarirHub, an advanced platform operating within the comprehensive SIAPkerja ecosystem.

Through the innovative KarirHub platform, alumni can effortlessly upload their portfolios and detail the real-world experience gained during their time with MagangHub into their professional profiles. The platform’s sophisticated Job Matching system then intelligently cross-references the alumni’s competencies with the specific requirements of recruiting companies, streamlining the job search process and ensuring a precise fit between talent and opportunity.
