A dramatic high-speed chase between police and a murder suspect culminated in a rollover accident at the Yasmin Intersection in Bogor City on Saturday (23/5). The suspect, who is linked to the death of a 52-year-old woman identified as AAA, attempted to evade authorities before losing control of the vehicle near the BCC area on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar.
The pursuit began when the individual, driving a red car at high velocity, refused to comply with police orders to stop. Law enforcement officers trailed the vehicle until it eventually flipped over, allowing authorities to swiftly secure the suspect and the damaged vehicle. The individual is currently undergoing intensive interrogation as investigators work to uncover the full chronology and motive behind the suspected kidnapping and murder.
This high-stakes apprehension is tied to the grim discovery of a woman found abandoned on the side of Jalan Sholeh Iskandar earlier that day. The victim was found in a critical state, with her eyes bound by cloth and a severe slash wound to her neck. While she was still alive when first discovered by passersby, she tragically succumbed to her injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital.

Ipda Imam Dwi Saputra, spokesperson for the Bogor City Police, confirmed that the suspect was ultimately intercepted near the Paseh Toll area in Sumedang. The successful arrest was the result of a coordinated operation between the Bogor City Police and the West Java Regional Police. “Initial reports confirm the suspect has been apprehended through our joint efforts with the regional police department,” Imam stated on Saturday.
Providing further details, Tanah Sareal Police Chief Commissioner Doddy Rosjadi noted that his office received the initial report of the victim’s discovery at approximately 01:15 AM. At that time, the victim carried no identification, making her initial identification difficult for the responding officers.
According to statements from her family, the victim had last been seen leaving her residence around 10:00 PM the previous evening. She reportedly told family members she was heading out to meet a friend for coffee. During that time, she was driving an orange Toyota Yaris with the license plate B 2903 SKK. Police are continuing to piece together the events that transpired between her departure and the discovery of her body on the roadside.
