Antam Corporate Secretary, Wisnu Danandi Haryanto, stated that the company views this initiative as a strategic move by the government to refine the governance of national commodities, enhance the value-added of natural resources, and bolster Indonesia’s standing within the global supply chain. “Antam will certainly adhere to the government’s policies and directives in accordance with prevailing regulations,” Wisnu confirmed in an official disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Regarding operational strategy, Wisnu emphasized that Antam is currently prioritizing domestic market needs, particularly for downstream products and strategic national commodities. The company aims to strengthen its local market presence while remaining committed to pursuing selective and sustainable export opportunities.

This focus is reflected in the company’s financial performance. Based on its consolidated financial report for the period ending March 31, 2026, Antam’s domestic sales reached Rp 28.31 trillion, accounting for 97 percent of its total net sales. “This achievement mirrors our corporate strategy to fortify the domestic industrial ecosystem and support the development of mineral value-added within the country,” Wisnu added.

“Implementation begins tomorrow, marking a transition period where export activities continue as usual for the respective companies,” Airlangga explained during a press conference regarding the operational readiness of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia in Jakarta on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The reporting process from companies to the state-owned export entity will be facilitated by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise under the Ministry of Finance.
